§ 11-1117. Skidding, spinning of wheels, and excessive noise pro-
hibited.
No person shall operate a motor vehicle on or off a highway in
any intentional improper manner so as to cause skidding, spinning
of wheels, or excessive noise.
§ 11-1118. School bus regulations.
(a) No person, other than the driver or fuel station attendant,
shall occupy or be on or within any school bus while fuel is being
supplied to the bus.
(b) The driver of a school bus shall be in full charge of the bus
and the pupils, except in the presence of a teacher.
(c) No school bus shall be permitted to carry standing pupils in
excess of one pupil per each area of the aisle which is bounded on
both sides by forward facing seats.
(d) No pupil on any school bus shall be permitted to stand in
any school bus equipped only with lengthwise or a combination of
lengthwise and forward-facing seats.
(e) No pupil on any school bus shall be permitted to stand in
front of the stanchion and guard rail.
(f) No pupil on any school bus shall be permitted to operate the
front door opening mechanism except in times of actual emergency.
(g) No person driving a school bus shall drive it so as to enter
any roadway without stopping and ascertaining there is no danger
from other vehicles.
§ 11-1119. Travel on snow emergency routes.
After a snow emergency has been declared, no person shall drive
or attempt to drive a vehicle upon any designated and appropriately
sign posted snow emergency route unless the vehicle is equipped
with chains or unless both driving wheels are equipped with snow
tires.
§ 11-1120. Testing of trucks on state highways.
No person whether the owner of a truck, the person in charge
and control over the same, or employee or agent of the owner shall
use State highways within this State for the purpose of testing,
either for durability, speed, fuel consumption, or otherwise, the ve-
hicle without first obtaining from the State Roads Commission a
permit therefor. The State Roads Commission may issue a permit
provided in its judgment the roads over which the test will be con-
ducted will not be unduly damaged, or that the safety of the travel-
ing public will not be materially adversely affected by such test.
The State Roads Commission shall designate in the permit the route,
the day, and the hour the tests shall be conducted. The commission
may impose additional regulations and limitations consistent with
the best interest of the safety of the traveling public and the
continued durability of the highways under its jurisdiction. A per-
mit fee of $25.00 for each vehicle shall be charged for each permit.
