(b)    This subtitle applies only to dealers in vehicles of a type
subject to registration under subtitle 3.

(c)    Every person who holds a valid license as a dealer, used car
dealer, motorcycle dealer, trailer dealer or semi-trailer dealer issued
under Article 66½ of this Code as said article was in effect on the
day prior to the effective date of this part may continue to carry
on or conduct business under the license until the expiration, sus-
pension, revocation, or cancellation thereof, but in no case after
April 30, 1970
1971.

(d)    As used in this part, the term "license" means a license
issued or applied for under this part, unless a contrary meaning is
required by the context.

§ 5-102. Application for dealer's license.

(a)    Application for a dealer's license shall be made upon the
form prescribed by the department and shall state the type of li-
cense applied for.

(b)    The application shall state the name of the applicant, and

1.    If the applicant is a partnership, the name and address of each
partner; or

2.    If the applicant is a corporation, the names and addresses of the
principal officers of the corporation and the state in which incorpo-
rated, and other pertinent information as required by the depart-
ment.

(c)    The application shall also state the address of all places
where the business of the applicant is to be conducted and the
nature of the business to be conducted at each address, and other
information as required by the department.

(d)    Every application shall be signed and certify that the in-
formation given thereon is true and correct. The signature shall be
that of the applicant if the applicant is an individual, or if the
applicant is a partnership or corporation the signature shall be that
of a partner or officer thereof.

(e)    Every application shall be accompanied by the fee required
by this article.

§ 5-103. Issuance of license certificate.

(a) The department, upon receiving the application accompanied
by the proper fee and evidence of the proper bond as hereafter
required in section 5-108 and if satisfied that the applicant is en-
titled to the issuance thereof and that so far as it has ascertained
the applicant has complied with the provisions of this article relat-
ing to registration of vehicles, certificates of title, and the sale of
motor vehicles, trailers and semitrailers, shall issue to the applicant
a license certificate which entitles the licensee to carry on and conduct
the business of a dealer in the type or types of vehicles specified
therein during the registration year in which issued. The license
shall expire on April 30 of each year and may be renewed upon
application and payment of the fee required by this part.
