and functions provided in the laws or regulations of this State for
the office of Superintendent of "State Office Buildings
Baltimore."
All references in the laws of this State, or in ordinances, resolu-
tions, rules, regulations, legal actions, directives or documents to the
office of Superintendent of "State Office Buildings
Baltimore," shall
be deemed to mean the office of Baltimore Public Buildings and
Grounds.

(b)    The head of the Office of Baltimore Public Buildings and
Grounds shall be the Superintendent of Baltimore Public Buildings
and Grounds. The incumbent Superintendent, of "State Office Build-
ings
Baltimore" shall be Superintendent of Baltimore Public
Buildings and Grounds; he shall be subject to removal in accordance
with the provisions of Article 64A of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land; and his successors shall be appointed and removed in accord-
ance with the provisions of Article 64A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland. The Superintendent of Baltimore Public Buildings and
Grounds shall have assigned to him such other employees, at such
compensation, as shall be provided for in the State budget.

(c)    The Superintendent of Baltimore Public Buildings and
Grounds, subject to the direction of the Secretary of General Serv-
ices, shall be responsible for maintaining and guarding the following
public buildings (with their associated grounds) of the State: the
State Office Building in Baltimore, the State Roads Commission
Building in Baltimore, the former Department of Motor Vehicles
Building in Baltimore, and such other buildings and grounds owned
or controlled by the State in or in the vicinity of Baltimore as may
be designated by the Board of Public Works.

(d)    Subject to the direction of the Secretary of General Serv-
ices, the Superintendent of Baltimore Public Buildings and Grounds
shall have, with respect to the buildings and grounds within his
jurisdiction, the same duties, functions, authority, and obligations as
are set forth in Sections 135,136, 137 and 138 of this Article relating
to Annapolis Public Buildings and Grounds.

Sec. 6. And be it further enacted, That Section 1 of Article 54 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, 1968 Replacement
Volume and 1969 Supplement) title "Hall of Records," subtitle "Hall
of Records Commission" be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

There is hereby created as part of the Department of General
Services
a Commission to be known as the Hall of Records Commis-
sion, which shall be composed of the [Governor of Maryland] Secre-
tary of General Services,
the State Comptroller, the Chief Judge of
the Court of Appeals, the president of the Johns Hopkins Univer-
sity, the president of St. John's College, the president of the Mary-
land Historical Society and the president of the board of trustees of
the Peabody Institute of Baltimore. The members of said Commis-
sion shall serve without compensation.

Sec. 7. And be it further enacted, That Section 78 of Article 65
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, 1968 Replace-
ment Volume and 1969 Supplement), title "Militia," subtitle "War
