(5) To employ such counsel as necessary in conducting the
affairs of the Commission, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF
THE SECRETARY OF ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DE-
VELOPMENT.
(6) To accept donations and grants for the construction or main-
tenance of the convention hall and to receive any aid from the federal
government or any state or local governmental units.
(i) The Commission shall have the authority, subject to approval
by the Secretary of Economic and Community Development, to
make reasonable charge for the use and rental of the facilities of
the convention hall.
Sec. 6. And be it further enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 356 of Article 41 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition, 1965 Replacement Volume), title "Gover-
nor—Executive and Administrative Departments," subtitle "South-
ern Interstate Nuclear Compact" be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

The member of the "Southern Interstate Nuclear Board" from
the State of Maryland shall be appointed by the Secretary of Eco-
nomic and Community Development, with the approval of the
Governor, and his term of office shall be coterminous with that of
the appointing Governor. The Secretary of Economic and Commu-
nity Development shall advise the Governor in all matters relating
to the Southern Interstate Nuclear Board.
Sec. 7. And be it further enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 359A(b), (d) of Article 41 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, 1965 Replacement Volume,
1969 Supplement), title "Governor—Executive and Administrative
Departments," subtitle "Advisory Commission on Atomic Energy"
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

(b) An Advisory Commission on Atomic Energy is hereby cre-
ated as part of the Department of Economic and Community Devel-
opment to advise the Governor and the State government concern-
ing matters arising from the peaceful application of atomic energy.
(d) The members of the Commission shall each be appointed by
the Secretary of Economic and Community Development, with the
approval of the Governor, for a term of four years, except that
initially two shall be appointed for a term of one (1) year, three for
a term of two (2) years, three for a term of three (3) years, and the
remainder for a term of four (4) years. A chairman shall be desig-
nated by the Secretary of Economic and Community Development,
with the approval of the Governor.
Sec. 8. And be it further enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 399(a), (B) (i), 400, 401, 402 of Article 41 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, 1965 Replacement
