CHAPTER 501
(House Bill 1062)

AN ACT to add new Section 21 (49b) to Article 101 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume, 1969 Sup-
plement), title "Workmen's Compensation," subtitle "Application
of Article; Extra-Hazardous Employments," to follow immedi-
ately after Section 21 (49a) thereof, to include court house secur-
ity officers employed by the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City
among the extra-hazardous employments enumerated in the Work-
men's Compensation Law.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 21 (49b) be and it is hereby added to Article
101 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume,
1969 Supplement), title "Workmen's Compensation," subtitle "Appli-
cation of Article; Extra-Hazardous Employments," to follow imme-
diately after Section 21 (49a) thereof, and to read as follows:

21.

(49b) All persons employed by the Supreme Bench of Baltimore
City as court house security officers.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 266-0 of
Article 41 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, 1965
Replacement Volume, 1969 Supplement), title "Governor-Execu-
tive and Administrative Departments," subtitle "Department of
Economic Development," subheading "Maryland Industrial De-
velopment Financing Authority Act," to clarify and confirm the
definition of "Mortgage" by providing that as used in said sub-
title "Mortgage" shall include a Deed of Trust together with the
credit instruments thereby secured.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 266-0 of Article 41 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition, 1965 Replacement Volume, 1969 Supplement),
title "Governor-Executive and Administrative Departments," sub-
title "Department of Economic Development," subheading "Mary-
land Industrial Development Financing Authority Act," be and it
is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
