House Resolution No. 1—By Delegate Lady:
House Resolution requesting the United States Congress to consider
legislation prescribing the maximum interest rate payable to depositors
of funds deposited in savings and loan associations and other savings
institutions.

FIRST READING OF SENATE BILLS
Senate Bill No. 1—By the President:
An Act making an emergency appropriation from the General Fund
Surplus of the State Treasury for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1970,
in the amount of $50,000,000.00 to the Board of Public Works to be used
by said Board as part of the General Emergency Fund.

Senate Bill No. 4—By the President:
An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 4, 5, 6 and
7 of, and to add new Section 12A to, Chapter 403 of the Laws of Mary-
land of 1969, which Act authorized the creation of a State debt to be
known as the "Outdoor Recreation Land Loan of 1969," correcting erro-
neous wording therein, clarifying certain provisions of the Act, including
the imposition of the State property tax as the secondary source of funds
for debt service as to both the principal of and interest on such State debt
in the event revenues from the "State Property Transfer Tax" are in any
