Amendments to Senate Bill No. 1
By Senator Hart, from the floor:

Amendment No. 1—In line 5 of the title of the printed bill before the
period, insert the following: ";directing the Board of Public Works to
issue bonds equal to $50,000,000. or such portion used under this Act if,
prior to June 30, 1971, the State can sell bonds at the 5% interest ceiling;
placing the proceeds of the sale of such bonds in the General Fund; and
distributing the replaced money to each political subdivision on the basis
of an equal amount for each pupil enrolled in the public schools".

Amendment No. 2—Following line 8 of Section 1 on page 2 of the
printed bill, insert the following:

"Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That if, at any time prior to the
end of the 1971 fiscal year, the State is able to sell bonds at rates not in
excess of the 5% interest ceiling, the Board of Public Works is directed
to issue bonds in the amount equal to $50,000,000. or such portion thereof
that shall have been used under this Act. Proceeds of the sale of such
bonds shall be placed in the General Fund to replace monies expended
under the provisions of this Act. The money replaced shall be immedi-
ately distributed to each of the political subdivisions of the State on the
basis of an equal amount per pupil enrolled in the public schools of this
State."

delete the numeral "2" and insert in lieu thereof the numeral "3".
