RULES OF THE JOINT SESSION OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND FOR THE ELECTION OF GOVERNOR

In conjunction with Special Session of the General Assembly

Beginning January 6, 1969 1.

(a)    The Joint Session (or Convention) of the General Assembly shall operate and follow procedures under the Constitution and laws of the State of Maryland and these Rules.

(b)    On all matters not otherwise prescribed by the Constitution or laws of Maryland or by these Rules, the current and applicable Rules of the House of Delegates of Maryland shall prevail; and on all matters not otherwise prescribed, Roberts' Rules of Order shall prevail.

Read and adopted.

2.

(a)    The Joint Session shall meet in the Chamber of the House of Delegates.

(b)    Until the Joint Session fully organizes, the Speaker of the House of Delegates shall act as presiding officer.
