(2) That an incumbent member of a county board serving a full
term as of the effective date of this act shall be eligible for one
additional full term.
(c) Board for Baltimore County. The seven SEVEN OF THE
NINE members who comprise the county Board of Education in Balti-
more County shall respectively be residents of the seven senatorial
subdistricts AND THE REMAINING TWO MEMBERS SHALL BE
APPOINTED FROM THE COUNTY AT LARGE; and any member
who does not retain his residential qualification shall at the time of
removing his residence from the district he represents no longer be
a member of the Board. IN THE EVENT THAT THE BOUNDARY
LINE OF A SENATORIAL SUBDISTRICT IS ALTERED, THE
TERM OF AN INCUMBENT MEMBER OF THE BOARD WHO
IS NO LONGER RESIDING IN THE SUBDISTRICT, BECAUSE
OF SUCH CHANGE, SHALL NOT BE AFFECTED DURING THE
PERIOD OF THIS TERM.
36. Board for Montgomery County.
(a) Composition; terms of members. The Board of Education
of Montgomery County shall be composed of seven qualified voters
of that County, one of whom shall be chosen from each of the five
council districts and two at large. All the members shall be elected
for terms of four years at the general election to be held immediately
before the expiration of their respective terms.
(b) Nominations.—Nomination for membership on the County
Board of Education of Montgomery County, except as otherwise
herein provided, shall be by petition endorsed by a minimum of 200
voters for the nominees from each council district, respectively, and
500 voters of the county for the two nominees at large, respectively.

Each such petition filed shall be accompanied by a $25 filing fee.
Except as otherwise in this section specified, each such petition shall

Annotated Code of Maryland, provided, however, that publication
of each such petition shall not be required.
(1) If after the expiration of the time allowed for filing of
petitions by this section, there are no more than two nominees for
the County Board of Education from each council district, respec-
