subsection) or any other means addressed to the general public
except that one sign not exceeding twelve square feet in area may be
displayed on or adjacent to the premises where the game will be
conducted. Also, notice that a game is to be held may be posted on
a bulletin board or included on a poster inside the premises of a hotel,
motel, restaurant or store that is located in the election district in
which the game is to be conducted, if done in accordance with
general rules and regulations promulgated under subsection (e).

(j) Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions
of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, is
subject to the following penalties. The first conviction is punished
by a fine not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1000), a second
conviction is punished by a fine not to exceed two thousand dollars
($2000), and for a third or subsequent conviction by a fine not to
exceed two thousand dollars ($2000), for each employee caused,
directed, permitted or authorized to work in violation of this section.
Nothing contained herein shall be construed to permit any fine upon
any employee or agent who has been caused or directed by his
employer to violate the provisions of this section.

SEC 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

(House Bill 311)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 101,
102(i), 303(e), 304(a), 305(a), 308, 309 and 402(b) of Article
2C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Supplement) title
"Alcoholism," subtitles, "Title," "Findings and Declaration of
Purposes," "Prevention of Alcoholism and Rehabilitation of
Alcoholics," and "Comprehensive Intoxication and Alcoholism
Control Plan," amending the laws of this State concerning alco-
holism in order to make corrections and changes in the language
thereof.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 101, 102(i), 303(e), 304(a), 305(a), 308, 309 and
402 (b) of Article 2C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968
Supplement), title "Alcoholism," subtitles, "Title," "Findings and
Declaration of Purposes," "Prevention of Alcoholism and Rehabilita-
tion of Alcoholics," and "Comprehensive Intoxication and Alco-
holism Control Plan," be and the same are hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

101.

This [subtitle] article shall be known and cited as the "Compre-
hensive Intoxication and Alcoholism Control Act."
