of any such urban renewal projects, or any part thereof, title to
which is in the municipality. In addition, the municipality may
enter into an indenture of trust with any private banking institution
of this State having trust with any private banking trust powers
and may make in such indenture of trust such covenants and com-
mitments as may be required by any purchaser for the adequate
security of such bonds.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

(House Bill 309)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 14-1
(n), 26-3(b), 26-16(a) (3), and 28-2 of Article 33 of the An-
notated Code of Maryland (1968 Supplement), title "Election
Code," subtitles "Paper Ballots," "Fair Election Practices," and
"Uniform Act for Voting by Nonresidents in Presidential Elec-
tions, respectively, amending the election laws of this State in
order to make certain corrections of the wording and references
therein.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 14-l(n), 26-3(b), 26-16(a) (3), and 28-2 of Article 33
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Supplement), title "Elec-
tion Code," subtitles "Paper Ballots," "Fair Election Practices," and
"Uniform Act for Voting by Nonresidents in Presidential Elections,"
respectively, be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

14-1.

(n) After the voting materials have been packed for return,
as set forth in subsection (m) of this section, one of the judges,
who shall have been designated by the board, shall take charge of the
ballot boxes and their contents. The other judge, who shall also be
an officer of registration, shall receive and hold the key thereof,
if used, and the package of unused ballots sealed by the judges. One
of the judges shall then take into his possession the registry. Each
of the judges shall also take into his possession one of the [state-
ment] statements of the vote (votes) cast, sealed up in its envelope
as aforesaid, and also one of the tally sheets, sealed up in an envelope
as aforesaid. The meeting of the judges shall then be dissolved. The
judge having possession of the ballot boxes shall immediately de-
liver the same with the contents to the board with the seal unbroken
and shall take a receipt therefor. At the same time the judges having
possession of the key, the package of unused ballots and the registers
or the binder containing the registration cards, and one copy of the
statement of votes cast and tally sheet shall deliver them to the
board and take a receipt therefor. The judges having possession of
the other statements and tallies shall deliver them before 12 o'clock
