cil," and to enact new Section 404 (b) in lieu thereof, to stand in
the place of the section repealed, removing the budget limitation
for expenditures by the Maryland Arts Council.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 404 (b) of Article 41 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1968 Supplement), title "Governor—Executive and Ad-
ministrative Departments," subtitle "Maryland Arts Council," be
and it is hereby repealed, and that new Section 404 (b) be and it is
hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the section
repealed, , AND TO READ AS FOLLOWS:

404.

(b) The Council shall receive for its purposes and programs, in-
cluding the Baltimore Symphony and Center Stage, such funds as
provided in the budget from time to time.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 235
(Senate Bill 432)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 130 of
Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Supple-
ment), title "Natural Resources," subtitle "Birds, Game and Inland
Water Fish," subheading "Hunter's License," to increase the fine
for hunter's license violations.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 130 of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1968 Supplement), title "Natural Resources," subtitle "Birds, Game
and Inland Water Fish," subheading "Hunter's License," be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

130.

Any resident found guilty of hunting any game protected by law
without having first procured a license, except as herein provided,
or for refusing to show said license when demanded by the Director
or any wildlife officer, sheriff, constable, or other officer, or land-
owner or his representative, or failing to prominently display the
license number as provided by law, or procuring a license under an
assumed name, illegal address or making a false statement, or violat-
ing any of the other provisions of this subheading, shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, before any
justice of the peace of the county or city where the offense was
committed, shall be fined [twenty] two hundred dollars [($20.00)]
($200.00) NOT LESS THAN TWENTY DOLLARS ($20.00) NOR
MORE THAN TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00) for each and
every offense and shall stand committed to the county jail or the
