(Senate Bill 413)

AN ACT to waive the provisions of Section 10 of Chapter 759 of the
Acts of 1967, said section relating to the time by which projects
contained in the General Construction Loan of 1967 must be
placed under contract, insofar as the provisions of said section
relate to an item contained in said Act for Morgan State College
and relating to Art and Dramatics Additions to the Fine Arts
Center, including air-conditioning and equipment and to extend for
two years, the period during which the said item may be placed
under contract.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the provisions of Section 10 of Chapter 759 of the Acts of 1967,
be and they are hereby waived insofar as they impose a time for
placing under contract an item, Section 5 (K) (1), in said Chapter
759 and found on page 1680 of the Acts of 1967, making available
to Morgan State College the sum of Four Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($450,000.00) for the construction of Art and Dramatics
Additions to the Fine Arts Center, including air-conditioning, and
the sum of Fifty-two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($52,500.00)
for equipment for the additions. There shall be allowed an additional
period of two years, beginning on the effective date of this Act, for
placing these projects under contract. If these projects shall not have
been placed under contract within a period of two years beginning
on the effective date of this Act, then it shall be deemed to have been
abandoned and the other provisions of Section 10 of Chapter 759 of
the Acts of 1967 shall be fully effective as to these projects.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

AN ACT to waive the provisions of Section 10 of Chapter 759 of the
Acts of 1967, said section relating to the time by which projects
contained in the General Construction Loan of 1967 must be placed
under contract, insofar as the provisions of said section relate to
an item contained in said Act for Morgan State College and relat-
ing to construction of a Commerce Classroom Building; and to
extend for two years, the period during which the said item may
be placed under contract.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the provisions of Section 10 of Chapter 759 of the Acts of 1967,
be and are hereby waived insofar as they impose a time for placing
under contract an item, Section 5 (K) (2), in said Chapter 759 and
found on page 1680 of the Acts of 1967, making available to Morgan
State College the sum of Eight Hundred Seventy-six Thousand
