SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET—FISCAL YEAR 1970

AMENDMENTS TO SENATE BILL NO. 181

AND/OR HOUSE BILL NO. 348

Amendment No. 1

On page 34 of the printed bill, under the heading "Board of Natural
Resources" and under program "Publication of Maryland Magazine", in-
sert the following footnote:

"That it is the intention these funds shall be transferred by ap-
proved budget amendment to the budget of the Department of
Economic Development."

Amendment No. 2

On page 44 of the printed bill, under the heading "Medical Care
Services" and under program "Medical Assistance Program", insert the
following footnote:

"That any funds included in this budget for the care and treatment
of persons in nursing homes or intermediate care facilities may be
transferred by approved budget amendment to the Department of
Social Services in order to earn Federal participation under the Social
Security Act."

Amendment No. 3

On page 70 of the printed bill, under the heading "Aid to Education"
and under program "Junior Colleges", insert the following footnote:

"That it is the intention these funds shall be transferred by approved
budget amendment to the budget of the 'State Board for Community
Colleges'."

Mr. President, Mr. Speaker, Ladies and Gentlemen
of the General Assembly:

Pursuant to the authority conferred on me by Article 3, Section 52,
Subsection (5) of the Constitution of Maryland, and in accordance with
the consent of the (State Senate) — (House of Delegates), duly granted,
I hereby submit a further supplement to Senate Bill 181 and/or House
Bill 348, this being the Budget Bill for the fiscal year 1970.
