or the borrowing of money for the same or similar purposes on the same
or other terms and conditions.

Sec. 4. Before borrowing any money or issuing any bonds pursuant
to this authority, the County Council shall adopt, in addition to or as a
part of any other resolutions required by Sections 2-111 through 2-119 of
the Montgomery County Code 1965, a resolution prescribing the terms and
conditions on which the proceeds of the bonds authorized hereunder shall
be made available for use by the Silver Spring Volunteer Fire Department,
Inc., or its successor. The Council may provide by such resolution that, in
addition to the fact that the bonds authorized hereunder are an irre-
vocable pledge of the full faith and credit of the entire County, the prin-
cipal and interest on such bonds shall be paid primarily from the taxes
levied within the Silver Spring Fire Tax Area pursuant to Chapter 41,
Montgomery County Code 1965.

Sec. 5. This Act shall take effect August 15, 1968.

Chapter 2
(Bill No. 2)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendment, Section 44-1,
titled "Title II. Special Taxing Area Laws," subtitled "Subtitle 2.
Parking Lot Districts," so as to correct an error in the description of
the Bethesda Parking Lot District.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL FOR MONTGOMERY
COUNTY, MARYLAND, that—

Section 1. Subsection (b) of Section 44-1, Chapter 44, title "Bethesda
Parking Lot District," of the Montgomery County Code 1965, is hereby
repealed, and re-enacted, with amendment, to read as follows:

44-1. Special Taxing areas continued; areas defined.

(b) Bethesda Parking Lot District. The Bethesda Parking Lot Dis-
trict shall consist of all land in the Seventh Election District of the
county within the area described as follows:

Beginning on the east line of Wisconsin Avenue where it intersects
with the south line of Chestnut Street, thence in a straight line due west
to the west line of Wisconsin Avenue; thence northwestward along the
west line of Wisconsin Avenue to its intersection with the north line of
Lot 19, Block 2, Northwest Park; thence along the north line of Lot 19,
Block 2 and the north line of Lot 20, Block 2 to the west line of Lot 20,
Block 2, Northwest Park; thence in a southeasterly direction along the
west line of Lot 20, Block 2 and continuing along the prolongation of said
line, crossing Battery Lane to the south line of Battery Lane; thence in a
westerly direction along the south line of Battery Lane to its intersection
with the west line of Woodmont Avenue; thence in a southeasterly
direction along the west line of Woodmont Avenue to its intersection with
the northernmost limit line of the subdivision of Woodmont, as recorded
in Plat Book 1;

thence in a southwesterly direction along the last mentioned line to the
northeast corner of Lot 435 in said subdivision; thence southerly along
the dividing line between Lots 435 and 436 in said subdivision to the
