than one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each such violation.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 72
(Senate Bill 288)

AN ACT to add new Section 2-6 (b) to Article 33 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1968 Supplement), title "Election Code," sub-
title "Election Boards and Employees," to follow immediately after
Section 2-6 (a) thereof to provide annual salaries for the majority
and minority clerks in Garrett County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 2-6 (b) be and the same is hereby added to Article
33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Supplement), title
"Election Code," subtitle "Election Boards and Employees," to fol-
low immediately after Section 2-6 (a) thereof and to read as follows:

2-6.

(b) Garrett County—In Garrett County, the majority clerk and
the minority clerk each shall receive an annual salary of three thou-
sand six hundred dollars ($3,600.00).

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

(Senate Bill 293)

AN ACT to repeal Section 227 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Harford County (1965 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County," subtitle
"County Commissioners," and to enact new Section 227 in lieu
thereof, to stand in the place of the section repealed, to provide for
the establishment of the Harford County Environmental Com-
mittee, and to state its powers and duties.
