Any agent who does not dispose of all fishing licenses purchased
from the Department of Game and Inland Fish and who presents
the unused licenses to the Department for a refund [and after the
same have been checked and found to be correct, then the Depart-
ment may reimburse said agent] before March 31 of each year may
be reimbursed by the Department
for the amount of licenses re-
turned [but at no time shall a reimbursement be made for unused
fishing licenses later than March 31 of the following year] after the
licenses have been checked and found to be correct.
All fishing li-
censes not returned by [this time] March 31 shall be deemed as sold
and [no refunds can or shall be made for that particular year] not
reimbursable, provided that an agent may return the licenses in
proper condition to the Department after March 31 accompanied by
a notarized statement stating why the licenses were returned late,
and the Department, after formal review, may reimburse the agent.
Any agent convicted for any violation of the provisions of this
section before a court of competent jurisdiction of this State shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine
of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than two
hundred dollars ($200.00), or by imprisonment in jail for not less
than ten (10) days nor more than thirty (30) days, or both fine and
imprisonment, and in addition thereto shall be relieved of his license
issuing [appointment] privilege.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 66
(Senate Bill 146)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 129 (b)
of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Replace-
ment Volume and 1968 Supplement), title "Natural Resources,"
subtitle "Birds, Game and Inland Water Fish," subheading "Hun-
ter's License," providing the Department of Game and Inland Fish
with discretion to reimburse hunting license agents for licenses
and tags returned to the Department after June 30- AND TO
PROVIDE THAT THESE AGENTS FILE DUPLICATE STUBS
WITH THE DEPARTMENT MONTHLY.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 129 (b) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1967 Replacement Volume and 1968 Supplement), title "Natural
Resources," subtitle "Birds, Game and Inland Water Fish," subhead-
ing "Hunter's License," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

(b) Any person engaged in a retail business (except where dis-
tilled spirits are sold for consumption on the premises) desiring to
sell hunting licenses under the control and supervision of the De-
