Licensees," to follow immediately after Section 118 thereof, to
provide for record keeping in the event the age of any person
purchasing alcoholic beverages is in question and to provide a
defense to any prosecution for sale of alcoholic beverages to
minors.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 118A be and it is hereby added to Article 2B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume and 1968
Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Restrictions Upon
Licensees," to follow immediately after Section 118 thereof, and to
read as follows:

118A.

(1) Every licensee under the provisions of this article shall MAY
cause a book to be kept and such licensee or his employee, or both,
shall MAY require any person who has shown documentary proof of
age, which substantiates his age to allow the legal purchase of alco-
holic beverages, to sign such book if the age of such person is in
question. The book shall show the date of the purchase, the identifica-
tion used in making all purchase, the address of the purchase and his
signature. CONTAIN COPIES OF THE FOLLOWING FORM
UPON WHICH THE LICENSEE OR HIS EMPLOYEE SHALL
RECORD ALL INFORMATION REQUIRED BY EACH AND
ALL SECTIONS OF THE FORM:
