AN ACT to repeal AND RE-ENACT Section 5 (E) (11) of Chapter
759 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1967, in order to
repeal the allocation of a sum TRANSFER THE UNEXPENDED
BALANCE of money for the acquisition of land for the Welch's
Point State Park TO ELK NECK STATE PARK from the pro-
ceeds of the bonds authorized to be issued pursuant to the General
Construction Loan of 1967.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 5 (E) (11) of Chapter 759 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1967 be and it is hereby repealed. REPEALED AND
RE-ENACTED.

SEC. 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT THE PRO-
VISIONS OF SECTION 10 OF CHAPTER 759 OF THE ACTS OF
THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF 1967, BE AND THEY ARE
HEREBY WAIVED INSOFAR AS THEY IMPOSE A TIME FOR
PLACING UNDER CONTRACT THE ITEMS IN SECTION 5 (E)
(11) IN SAID CHAPTER 759 OF THE ACTS OF 1967, MAK-
ING AVAILABLE ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS
($100,000) FOR ACQUISITION OF LAND AT WELCH POINT
STATE PARK. WITH THE WAIVER OF THESE PROVISIONS
SO APPLIED TO THESE ITEMS, THERE SHALL BE ALLOWED
AN ADDITIONAL PERIOD OF TWO YEARS, BEGINNING ON
THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ACT, FOR PLACING THESE
PROJECTS UNDER CONTRACT. IF THESE PROJECTS SHALL
NOT HAVE BEEN PLACED UNDER CONTRACT WITHIN A
PERIOD OF TWO YEARS, BEGINNING ON THE EFFECTIVE
DATE OF THIS ACT, THEN IT SHALL BE DEEMED TO HAVE
BEEN ABANDONED AND THE OTHER PROVISIONS OF SEC-
TION 10 OF CHAPTER 759 OF THE ACTS OF 1967 SHALL BE
FULLY EFFECTIVE AS TO THESE PROJECTS.

Sec. 2. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1969.
