of the TOTAL COST accumulated contributions, with interest, for
such period of service. The accumulated contributions to be paid by
such employee shall be computed by applying his current rate of con-
tribution to the salary earned while an elected or appointed official.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 598
(Senate Bill 352)
AN ACT to add new Section 200B to Article 25 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume and 1968 Supple-
ment) , title "County Commissioners," subtitle "Public Watershed
Associations," to follow immediately after Section 200A thereof,
to authorize the Public Watershed Associations to obtain land
rights under certain procedures.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 200B be and it is hereby added to Article 25 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume and
1968 Supplement), title "County Commissioners," subtitle "Public
Watershed Associations," to follow immediately after Section 200A
thereof, and to read as follows:
200B.
For works of improvement consisting of stream channel improve-
ment and/or drainage, the Board of Directors shall by virtue of the
procedures contained in this subtitle have and possess such rights-
of-way and easements as are necessary for the construction and main-
tenance of the channel improvements and for the disposition of
excavated material according to standards of good engineering
practice.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.
