(e) The Board of County Commissioners is directed to provide
the Commission with such assistance and funds as may be required
to enable the Commission to carry out its duties under this section.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall expire
automatically on February 20, 1970 without further action on the
part of the General Assembly and shall be null and void after said
date.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 531
(House Bill 1213)

AN ACT to add new Section 660A to Article 43 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume), title "Health,"
subtitle "Sanitary Districts," to follow immediately after Section
660 thereof, to require, permit, submission of plans, and formal
permission before installing STARTING CONSTRUCTION OF
A BUILDING WHICH WILL NEED THE INSTALLATION OF
septic tank disposal system in Garrett County, and provide the
penalty for failing to comply with this section.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 660A be and it is hereby added to Article 43 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume), title
"Health," subtitle "Sanitary Districts," to follow immediately after
Section 660 thereof, to read as follows:

660A.

Before any STARTING CONSTRUCTION OF A BUILDING
WHICH WILL NEED THE installation of a septic tank disposal sys-
tem is done in or to any building requiring such a facility or upon any
private property within Garrett County, the person, firm or corpora-
tion doing the same shall first obtain a permit from the Garrett County
Health Department, subject to such inspection as the Department
deems necessary. Such person, firm, or corporation shall also submit
a plan or plans for such system to the Department and receive formal
permission upon written forms which shall be supplied by the De-
partment if authorization for such installation is granted. Any vio-
lation of the provisions of this section shall be a misdemeanor, pun-
ishable by a fine not in excess of one hundred dollars ($100.00).

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.
