IN AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COM-
MISSIONERS OF HARFORD COUNTY.

244.

Every person required to be licensed hereunder, EXCEPT
A JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN, except a journeyman elec-
trician, shall execute and deliver to the Board prior to the issu-
ance of the license a good and sufficient bond in the form ap-
proved by the Board, in the name of the State of Maryland, in the
penal sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000) in the case of a master
electrician and one thousand dollars ($1,000) in the case of an oil
burner, sign, maintenance or air conditioning and refrigeration elec-
trician. The bond shall be conditioned upon the faithful performance
of any and all work entered upon or contracted for by the licensee and
shall render harmless and indemnify the owner, or real party in inter-
est in the property, for which any such material is furnished or service
performed against loss, damage or injury which shall occur because
of lack of skill, or because of failure to use suitable or proper ma-
terial in the performance of any work contracted for or undertaken
by any licensee, or his agents and employees.

Any person who shall practice, or engage, or continue in the work
of a master electrician or
JOURNEYMAN, journeyman, oil burner,
sign, maintenance or air conditioning and refrigeration electrician
without having complied with all the provisions of this subtitle, and
any person having been licensed as above described who shall fail to
renew his license as required herein and shall do or perform any work
for which a license is required hereunder, or who shall violate any of
the provisions of this subtitle, is guilty, upon conviction, of a misde-
meanor, and shall be sentenced to imprisonment for not to exceed
ninety days or to pay a fine of not less than twenty-five dollars
($25.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00), or both. A con-
viction, without any further action being required shall automatically
revoke any license issued to such person under this subtitle.

240.

(f) Air conditioning and refrigeration: After examination
there shall be issued to those qualified, a license hereinafter to be
known as an air conditioning and refrigeration electrician which
shall be a limited license and shall permit the holder thereof to do
the following: Said licensee shall be allowed to maintain existing
air conditioning and refrigeration, and in addition thereto, to wire
air conditioning and refrigeration units not to exceed 168 locked
rotor amperes, 230 volts. The licensee shall be allowed to run service
to and as far as an existing main switch panel only. All persons
who for a period of three years prior to July 1, 1969, have been per-
forming the work for which the license of air conditioning and re-
frigeration electrician is now required shall be entitled to licensing
under Section 240 without being required to take an examination;
provided such persons shall apply for licensing before October 1,
1969.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on July 1, 1969 THAT THIS ACT IS HEREBY DECLARED TO
