Sec. 10. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect

(House Bill 669)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 240(a), 241(A), 241B 241(B), 241(C),
244 and 247 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County
(1965 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Harford County," subtitle "Electrical Examiners,"
as last amended by Chapter 754 of the Acts of 1968, and to enact new
Sections 240(a), 241(A), 241B 241(B), 241(C), 244 and 247 in lieu
thereof, to stand in the place of the sections so repealed, and to add
new Section SECTIONS 240(f) AND 240A to said Code (1965 Edi-
tion), to follow immediately after Section 240(e) thereof, TO EX-
EMPT JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIANS FROM THE NECES-
SITY OF SECURING A BOND PRIOR TO SECURING A
LICENSE, LOWERING THE LICENSE FEE AND REQUIRING
THE SUPERVISION OF ANY ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
BY A LICENSED MASTER OR JOURNEYMAN ELECTRI-
CIAN; AND to exempt journeyman electricians from the necessity
of securing a bond prior to securing a license and to establish the
new license category of air conditioning and refrigeration electri-
cian and provide for the examination and licensing of persons so
qualified and to allow certain individuals to be licensed without the
necessity of taking said examination.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 240(a), 241(A), 241B 241(B), 241(C), 244 and 247
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County (1965 Edition,
being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Harford County," subtitle "Electrical Examiners," as last amended
by Chapter 754 of the Acts of 1968, be and they are hereby repealed,
and that new Sections 240 (a), 241 (A), 241B 241 (B), 241 (C), 244 and
247, be and they are hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to stand in the
place of the sections repealed, and that new Section SECTIONS 240 (f)
AND 240A be and it is ARE HEREBY added to said Code (1965
Edition), to follow immediately after Section 240(e), thereof, all to
read as follows:

240.

(a) There is hereby created, in addition to that of Master Elec-
trician, five limited licenses which shall be known as JOURNEY-
MAN, journeyman, oil burner, sign, maintenance and air conditioning
and refrigeration electrician licenses and shall be as follows:

240A.

ANY ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION IN HARFORD COUNTY
SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED UNDER THE FULL-TIME SUPER-
VISION OF AT LEAST ONE LICENSED MASTER OR JOUR-
NEYMAN ELECTRICIAN AS DEFINED IN THIS SUBTITLE.
