AN ACT to add new Section 359A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Allegany County (1963 Edition, being Article 1 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Allegany County," subtitle
"LaVale Zoning District," to follow immediately after Section 359
thereof, as last amended by Chapter 110 of the Acts of 1968; pro-
viding that the LaVale Zoning Board of Allegany County may
contribute, in its discretion, certain monies to the LaVale Volunteer
Rescue Squad, Inc.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 359A be and it is hereby added to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Allegany County (1963 Edition, being Article 1 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Allegany County,"
subtitle "LaVale Zoning District," to follow immediately after Section
359 thereof, and to read as follows:

359A.

The LaVale Zoning Board may, in its discretion, contribute not in
excess of eight thousand ($8,000.00) dollars of the funds of the Zon-
ing Board to the LaVale Volunteer Rescue Squad, Inc., PROVIDING,
HOWEVER, THAT FUNDS WHICH HAVE BEEN COLLECTED
FOR A SPECIFIC PURPOSE MAY NOT BE USED.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 645 of
Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Replacement
Volume), title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "Venue, Pro-
cedure and Sentence," subheading "Sentence and Punishment,"
relating to prison labor on farms in Anne Arundel County, allow-
ing such at the discretion of the Superintendent of the Anne
Arundel County Detention Center and changing authority to per-
mit such labor from the Sheriff of Anne Arundel County; also
providing for punishment for escape from such labor.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 645 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1967 Replacement Volume), title "Crimes and Punishments," sub-
title "Venue, Procedure and Sentence," subheading "Sentence and
Punishment," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
