Mary ffillpott this 12th day of 7ber 1695 made Oath in Court that she attended as an Evidence for Lokey &ca agt Henry Smith Eleaven days & humbly prayed Order for the Same which by the Worll Court was granted ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ William Heath this 12th day of 7ber 1695 made Oath yt he attended as an Evidence for Lokey &ca agt Henry Smith nine dayes & humbly prayed Order for the Same, which to him was pr worps granted — ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Thomas Poole made Oath this 12th day of 7ber 1695 that he tended 8 dayes as an Evidence for Wm ffossitt agt Edward Perkins & humbly prayed Order for the Same which pr ye Worll Court to him was granted ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Courts adjourned till tomorrow at 8 a Clock ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ At a Court held by their Maties Justices of ye Peace for the County of Somerset in the Province of Maryland the 13th day of 7ber anno Domini 1695

His Matie agt The sd Rose in Open Court came & did Rose Mason – } Confess her Self to have born a Basterd Child ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ and Said that Peter Watson Senior was the ffather of the sd Basterd Child, whereupon it was Ordered by ye Court that process issue agt ye sd Peter to appear ye next Court and yt Same likewise issue for ye sd Rose to prosecute &ca. & further Ordered that the sds Rose be fined four hundred pounds of tobacco according to Act of Assembly Ordered also that sd Rose give Security for sd fine & fees Whereupon Came Anthony Morris & by Recognizance in Court did acknowledge himSelf to owe & be indebted unto the King the Sum of twelve hundred pounds of tobacco due to be leavied on his goods & Chattels lands & Tennements for ye Kings use &ca. — The Condicon of wch Recognizance is Such that if the abovesd Rose Mason doe pay the-- abovesd ffine & fees then ye recognizance to be void, otherwayes to be & remaine in full power force & Vertue. – – – – – – Whereas Complaint was this day made to the Worll. Justices of ye Peace in Court Sitting agt mr Ephraim Wilson & mr Wm ffausett, it was by the Court Ordered that the Sheriff of the County take into Custody the sd Wilaon & ffausett So that he have their bodies before the Worshipfull Court tomorrow Morning to answer to the King &ca — & after pr request of ye abovesd parties it was pr Court Considered & Security taken for ye sd Wilson & ffausett appa as afd. viz mr Peter Dent was Security for Wilsons appa. & George Laine for ffossetts appearance in five pound a piece to the King as afd &ca. to appa. tomorrow ye 14th instant &ca.
