of a plea of debt &ca And Whereupon the sd Wm p^r Sam Worthington

his Attorney Complaineth that Whereas the Sd Lawrence at

Pocomoke within the Jurisdiction of this Court by his Certain

Bill Obligatory bearing date fourth day of 9ber in y^e year of our

Lord God 1690 became indebted unto the Sd William in the just Sum

of five hundred ninety & Seven pounds of tobacco & Caske to be pd

to the Said William his Heirs &ca at Some Convenient place in y^e County

afd at or upon the 10^th day of December next ensueing y^e date afd Never

the less the Lawrence the sd Sum of tobacco to the sd Wm hath not paid

& hitherto doth refuse to pay to the damage of the Said William of

Twelve hundred pounds of tobacco & thereupon he brings this Sute

in the Province of Maryland my Heirs Extors & Adm^rs to pay

or Cause to be paid unto William Densem of y^e County afd

Planter his Heirs Extors Adm^rs or Assigns the full & just Sum

of five hundred ninety & Seven pounds of good Sound Mertable leaf

tobacco & Caske Convenient at Some Landing in Somerset County at or

upon y^e 10^th day of December next ensueing the date hereof as Witness

my hand & Seal the forth day of November 1690

to answer unto Rich^d Maclure , of a plea that they render unto him

the full Sum of Two thousand pounds of Tobacco & Caske w^ch

from him they detein &ca. — And whereupon the sd Richard by

Peter Dent his Attorney Complains that whereas the sd John [p^r ]

in his lifetime (to witt) the 25^th day of June in y^e year of our

Lord 1692 at Monokin within the Jurisdiction of this Court by

his Certain Bill Obligatory which the sd Richard whith the Seal

of the sd John signed y^e date whereof is the day & year afd acknowledged

himself to be indebted to the sd Richard in the sd full Sum of two

Thousand pounds of tobacco to be pd to the sd Richard y^e 10^th day

of December in the year of our Lord 1693 to y^e w^ch payment
