Wm Densom made Oath in Open Court that he attended fourteen dayes

as Evidence for Wm Smullen agt Jeremiah Harris & humbly Craves

Order for the Same wch to him was granted &ca.


              

Richard Shockley made Oath that he attended for William Smullen

as Evid agt Jeremiah Haris Tenn dayes & humbly prayes Order

for ye Same which pr Court was granted &ca.


              

Donnam Olandman made Oath in Open Court that he attended Five

dayes as Evid for James Barry agt John Rowell & prayes Order

for ye Same which to him was granted &ca.


              

John Barber made Oath that he attended the Court as Evidence

for Jeremiah Harris dft Wm Smullen plt on prt of ye defendt

nine dayes before mr Sam Hopkins & mr Edmund Howard .


              

Maryland Ss May the 4th 1695

These presents Witnesseth that I Thomas Hill of Boston in New

England Marriner am firmly bound & Justly indebted unto Thomas

Jones of Anamessex in Somerset County Gent. in the full and just

Sum of one hundred pounds of Sterling money of England to [be]

unto the Said Thomas Jones his Heirs Extors Admrs or Assigns

Convenient upon demand to which payment well & truely to be made

& done I the sd Thomas Hill doe bind my self my Heirs Extors &

Admrs in the whole & for ye whole firmly by these presents sealed

with my Seal & dated the day & year above Written &ca.

The Condicon is such that whereas the Said Thomas Jones

hath bought Two Negros of the sd Thomas Hill the one named

Ned the other Called Robin & for ye Consideration of Seventeen

thousand Six hundred pounds of tobacco & Caske in hand pd Now

So it is that if the Said Thomas Jones shall from time to time

& at all times Have Hold & enjoy the sd Negroes without

out lett hinderance or molestation of any prsons or prsons wtsoever

that this Obligation to be void or else to Stand remaine and be

in full force & Vertue &ca.               Tho. Hill ❂

Memorandum that this day (viz) the 9th day of 7ber ano Domini

1695 Came Robert Prentice & Elinor Sample & made Oath upon
