unto James Round of a plea of trespass on y^e Case &ca. And

whereupon the sd James by Peter Dent his Attorney Complaineth

that whereas the Said Robert y^e 18^th day of 7ber in the year of

our Lord 1694. at Pocomoke within the Jurisdiction of this Court

was indebted to the sd James in the Sum of Seventeen hundred fourty

three pounds of tobacco for the ballance of Sundry acco^ts. for goods

& merchandizes by the sd James to the sd Rob^t. before that time

Sold & delivered as by accot appears in Court, and the sd Rob^t to y^e said

James in manner afd being indebted, did assume upon himself

& to the sd James then & there faithfully promise that he the sd Rob^t

the sd Sum of 1743 Pounds of Tobacco the ballance afd would
