(Senate Bill 243)

AN ACT to add new Section 62 to Article 40 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supplement),
title "General Assembly," to follow immediately after Section 61
thereof and to be under the new subtitle "Members to be Furnished
Code," to provide every member of the General Assembly of
Maryland , AT HIS REQUEST with an updated copy of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland for use and reference during his four year
term in office. and at the end of that term to allow him the option
of purchasing the Code from his legislative expense account or to
return the volumes to the State of Maryland.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 62 be and it is hereby added to Article 40 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume and 1967
Supplement), title "General Assembly," to follow immediately after
Section 61 thereof and to be under the new subtitle "Members to be
Furnished Code," and to read as follows:

UPON REQUEST each member of the House of Delegates and OR
Senate of Maryland shall be provided, out of State funds, a set of the
Annotated Code of Maryland for his personal use so long as he
remains a member; such Code and the individual volumes thereof
shall be kept up to date at all times at State expense. At the expira-
tion of the member's term of office he may purchase such Code, using
such funds as are available in his legislative expense account for the
purpose, or he may return the Code to the State.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 11 (a)
(2) of Article 90 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Re-
placement Volume and 1967 Cumulative Supplement), title "Sure-
ties," subtitle "Contract Performance and Payment Bonds," to
require a contractor to make written certification that all sub-
contractors and suppliers have been paid in accordance with the
terms of their contract, and matters generally related thereto.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 11 (a) (2) of Article 90 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume and 1967 Cumulative Supple-
ment), title "Sureties," subtitle "Contract Performance and Payment
Bonds," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments to read as follows:
