said instrument, the names of husband and wife to be counted
separately. The word "page" as used herein shall be defined as one
side of a leaf not larger than 8½ inches wide by 14 inches long, or
portion thereof.

(4) In Baltimore City or any county where a block system and a
grantor-grantee system is maintained for recording of deeds, mort-
gages or other papers required to be recorded among the land records
and $3.00 per page or portion thereof for recording as may be deter-
mined by the clerk of the circuit court in each county or the clerk of
the Superior Court in Baltimore City. In addition thereto the clerk
shall charge the sum of $1.00 per name for each name to be indexed
on said instrument, and the sum of $1.00 for each additional Block
therein, the names of husband and wife to be counted separately.
This charge to include indexing both under the block system and
the grantor-grantee index:

(5)  For recording short releases of mortgages, deeds of trust and
of chattel liens of all kinds including releases of conditional contracts
of sale, $2.00 plus an indexing charge $1.00 per name where index-
ing is required. The names of husband and wife to be counted
separately;

(6)  For making a certified copy of any paper recorded among
the land records the cost of said copy shall not exceed the cost of
the recording of the original paper, plus $1.00 for certification:

(7)  For making one or more duplicate copy or copiesthe cost
of said duplicate copy or copies shall not exceed one half of the cost
of the original papers, plus $1.00 for certification;

(8)  For recording any instrument among the Financing State-
ment records
$3.00 per page or portion thereof for recording. In
addition thereto the clerk shall charge the sum of $1.00 per name,
for each Debtor's name to be indexed on said instrument, the names
of husband and wife to be counted separately;

(9) For administering the oath of office to any appointed official

(except policeman) $.50.

(10) (9) For recording mechanics' liens $3.00 per page or portion
thereof for recording. In addition thereto the clerk shall charge the
sum of $1.00 per name for each name to be indexed on said instru-
ment, the names of husband and wife to be counted separately.

(d) Administration:

(1) For receiving, collecting and paying over all public money
5% except the clerk of the Circuit Court for Montgomery County,
who shall receive 3% commission, provided that the clerk of the
Circuit Court for Baltimore County and Anne Arundel County shall
be entitled to receive 3% and the clerk of the Superior Court of
Baltimore City shall be entitled to receive 2½%, of the amount col-
lected from the tax applicable to instruments recorded with the said
respective clerks pursuant to section 277 (m) of Article 81 of The
Annotated Code of Maryland (1960 Supplement) and section 277 (n)
of said Article 81, respectively, but shall be entitled to receive 5%
for receiving, collecting and paying over all other public moneys.
The clerk of the court for Harford County shall be entitled to re-
ceive 3% of the amount collected from the tax applicable to instru-
ments recorded with the said clerk pursuant to section 277 (n) of
