AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 223(a),
(b), (c), (d), (e), (f), (g) and (i) of Article 56 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supple-
ment), title "Licenses," subtitle "Real Estate Brokers," to increase
certain fees charged by the Real Estate Commission.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 223 (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), (g), and (i) of Article
56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume
and 1967 Supplement), title "Licenses," subtitle "Real Estate
Brokers," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
223.
(a) For each real estate broker's license a fee of [thirty] fifty
THIRTY-FIVE dollars [($30.00)] ($50.00) ($35.00) and for each
annual registration of said license, thereafter, a fee of [thirty] fifty
THIRTY-FIVE dollars [($30.00)] ($50.00) ($35.00).
(b) For taking any written examination in order to be a real
estate broker, a fee of [three] ten dollars [($3.00)] ($10.00), or real
estate salesman, a fee of [three] five dollars [($3.00)] $5.00.
(c) For each license as a [real estate broker or] associate real
estate broker issued to a member of a partnership, association, or
officer of a corporation other than the member of the partnership
or association, or officer of the corporation named in the license
issued to such partnership, association, or corporation, a fee of [ten
($10.00)] twenty five ($35.00), and for each annual registration of
said license thereafter, a fee of [ten ($10.00)] twenty five ($25.00)
dollars.
(d) For each real estate salesman's license, a fee of [seven]
twenty TEN dollars [and fifty cents ($7.50)] $20.00, ($10.00), and
for each annual registration of said license thereafter, a fee of
[seven] twenty TEN dollars ($20.00) ($10.00) [and a half ($7.50)].
(e) For each additional office or place of business, an annual fee
of [two] twelve dollars and fifty cents [($2.50)] $12.50.

Commission, a fee of [one ($1.00) dollar] three ($3.00) dollars.
(i) For each duplicate or transfer of salesman's license, a fee of
[fifty cents] three dollars ONE DOLLAR [$0.50] ($3.00) ($1.00).
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of this
Act shall not apply to or make invalid any fees charged prior to the
effective date of the act.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.
