CHAPTER 501
(Senate Bill 34)

AN ACT to repeal Section 273 of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supplement), title
"Public Education," subtitle "Chapter 27. Free Scholarships," and
to enact a new Section 273 in lieu thereof, to stand in the place
of the section so repealed, to authorize annual payments by the
State of certain sums of money to Charlotte Hall School in the
State Budget, and to provide for the use of money so authorized.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 273 of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1965 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supplement), title "Public
Education," subtitle "Chapter 27. Free Scholarships," be and it is
hereby repealed, and that a new Section 273 is hereby enacted in
lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the section so repealed, and to
read as follows:

273.

Beginning with the fiscal year 1969 funds shall be included in the
annual State Budget for Charlotte Hall School as follows:

1969 ........................ $87,500.00

1970 ........................ $32,000.00

1971 ........................ $25,000.00

From and after June 30, 1971, there shall be included in the annual
State Budget the sum of $25,000.00 to be given to Charlotte Hall
School, to be used for scholarship assistance under the direction of
the Board of Trustees of Charlotte Hall School.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

CHAPTER 502
(Senate Bill 35)

AN ACT to add a new Section 63 to Article 88B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume), title "State
Police," to follow immediately after Section 62 thereof, and to
be under the new subtitle "Local Division," creating a Local
Division within the Department of Maryland State Police, and
providing generally for its members, powers, duties and func-
tions, and for agreements in relation to the Division by the Super-
intendent of the Department and any county OR THE MAYOR
AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALTIMORE AND
PROVIDING FOR AGREEMENTS BETWEEN COUNTIES
AND MUNICIPALITIES LOCATED THEREIN.
