in which formula "b" represents "Benefits Provided by Section 53"
and "as." represents "years of creditable service," [except that the
ratio of "c.s. divided by 25" shall not be applied to any beneficiary
who was, or member who may be retired for disability having less
than 25 years of creditable service], and
Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

(Senate Bill 31)
AN ACT to add new subsection 14(7) (h) to Article 73B of the An-
notated Code of Maryland (1967 Replacement Volume and 1967
Supplement), title "Pensions," subtitle "In General," to follow im-
mediately after subsection 14(7)(g) thereof; and to add new
subsection 116(7) (i) to Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1965 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supplement), title
"Public Education," subtitle "Chapter 8. Teachers' Certificates,
Salaries and Pensions," subheading "Teachers' Retirement Sys-
tem," to follow immediately after subsection 116(7) (h) thereof,
to provide that employees with less than thirty (30) years of service
filing for a Deferred Retirement Allowance shall not be entitled to
supplementary pension benefits.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new subsection 14(7)(h) be and it is hereby added to Article
73B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Replacement Volume
and 1967 Supplement), title "Pensions," subtitle "In General," to
follow immediately after subsection 14(7) (g) thereof, and to read as
follows:

(7)(h) Any employee who has less than thirty (30) years of
service, and who files for a Deferred Retirement Allowance, shall
not be entitled to receive a supplementary pension benefit.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That new subsection 116(7)(i)
be and it is hereby added to Article 77 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supplement), title
"Public Education," subtitle "Chapter 8. Teachers' Certificates, Sal-
aries and Pensions," subheading "Teachers' Retirement System," to
follow immediately after subsection 116(7)(h) thereof, and to read
as follows:

(7) (i) Any teacher who has less than thirty (30) years of service,
and who files for a Deferred Retirement Allowance, shall not be en-
titled to receive a supplementary pension benefit.
