OR WILD GAME MAY BE TAKEN IN THE EXERCISE OF
THE PRIVILEGES GRANTED BY SAID LICENSE AND SHALL
BY SUCH REGULATION DESIGNATE AND SPECIFICALLY
SET FORTH ANY RESTRICTIONS ON THE USE OF WEAPONS
IN THE HUNTING OR TAKING OF SUCH WILD FOWL
AND GAME INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE
AMOUNT AND SIZE OF AMMUNITION IN TAKING DESIG-
NATED GAME. THE COMMISSION SHALL CAUSE SUCH
REGULATIONS TO BE DISTRIBUTED WITH EACH HUNT-
ING LICENSE PURCHASED. NOTHING IN THIS SUBSEC-
TION SHALL AUTHORIZE THE COMMISSION IN ANY WAY
TO RESTRICT THE USE OF FIREARMS EXCEPT IN THE
EXERCISE OF THE PRIVILEGE BESTOWED BY THE PUR-
CHASE OF A HUNTING LICENSE.

(h) Training dogs.—Provided, however, an owner of a dog or
dogs between September 10 and March 1, inclusive, may be permitted
to run or train such dogs on woodcock, English ringneck, Mongolian
and melanistic pheasants, or any other imported species, ruffed
grouse, rabbit or hare, and partridge (quail), provided an attendant
accompanies it or them, but in so doing no person shall be allowed or
permitted to carry a gun or firearms of any description. Provided,
however, it shall be unlawful for any person to permit his dog or
dogs to catch or kill any game during said training; provided, how-
ever, any person training dogs during the period named herein must
have in possession a valid hunter's license and tag displayed on outer
garment.

(i) Dogs running at large; cats.—Any person allowing any dog
or dogs belonging to him to run at large on any property other than
that owned or tenanted by him between March 1 and September 9
and pursue game or destroy the eggs or nest thereof shall pay a pen-
alty of Five Dollars ($5.00) and costs for each and every offense.
Any person harboring a dog or dogs shall be termed the lawful owner
of same. Any salaried [game warden] wildlife officer may kill any
dog, which does not bear a license, found destroying game, the nest,
or eggs thereof.

Any person may and it shall be the duty of any [game warden]
wildlife officer or other officer of this State to humanely destroy any
cat found hunting or killing any bird or animal protected by law and
no action for damages shall be maintained for such killing.

[(k) Sale of rabbits.—Provided, however, nothing contained in
this section shall prohibit the person lawfully killing a rabbit from
selling same to a consumer in the county where said rabbit was
killed for food, however, same shall not be offered for resale, trans-
ported, or shipped beyond the confines of said county in which said
rabbit was killed.]

[(l)] (k) Fur-bearing animals in dens.—It shall be unlawful
to smoke, burn or otherwise molest any game or protected species of
fur-bearing animal in any den or to damage or destroy the den of
any protected game species or protected species of fur-bearing ani-
mal. It shall be unlawful to injure, take or kill any game or protected
species of fur-bearing animal which has taken refuge in any den.

[(m)] (l) Prohibiting Shooting or Disturbing Wildlife in
Safety Zones.—It is unlawful at any time for any person, other than
