(f) Development of a program in the public schools for the en-
couragement of study of the American Revolutionary period and
participation by students in the Bicentennial celebration.

4.   The Commission is officially designated as the state body
authorized to confer with the Federal American Revolution Bicen-
tennial Commission concerning coordination of the State and Federal
programs.

5.   The Commission is empowered to adopt an official flag, seal and
other emblems for such celebration, and to copyright the same in
in the name of the State. With the approval of the Governor, the
Commission may lease the right to use such seal and other emblems
upon such terms and conditions as to it deems proper.

6.   The Governor is authorized and requested to issue proclama-
tions inviting the people of the State and of the United States and
foreign countries to participate in and observe the bicentennial
anniversaries of significant historic events, the commemoration of
which are provided for herein.

7.   The members of the Commission and Advisory Councils shall
serve without compensation, but shall receive their necessary ex-
penses incident to the discharge of their duties as provided for
herein.

8.   A report shall be submitted to the Governor and General As-
sembly presenting the preliminary plans of the Commission, not later
than January 15th, nineteen hundred and seventy-one. Thereafter,
an annual report of the activities of the Commission shall be fur-
nished by the Commission to the Governor and the General Assembly.

9. BEGINNING FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1970, THE GOV-
ERNOR SHALL PLACE IN THE BUDGET EACH YEAR
DURING THE LIFE OF THE
COMMISSION AN APPRO-
PRIATION OF NOT LESS
THAN $10,000 FOR THE EX-
PENSES AND OPERATION OF THE COMMISSION.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Governor is requested to
provide an appropriation of funds to the Commission from the Gen-
eral Fund in the State treasury in the amount of NOT LESS THAN
$10,000 for the expenses and operation of the Commission DUR-
ING FISCAL 1969.

Sec. 3 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

AN ACT to add new Section 459A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Baltimore City (1949 Edition, being Article 4 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Baltimore City," subtitle
"Landlord and Tenant," to follow immediately after Section 459
