Upon compliance with the provisions in Article 73B of the Anno-
tated Code for the transfer of membership and credits between
retirement systems, in the subtitle "Transfers Between Retirement
Systems," they are subject to the rights and benefits of Article 73B,

title "Pensions." Thereafter their employment and retirement priv-
ileges are subject generally to the provisions of this Act and of

Articles 64A and 73B of the Code.

AS OF JULY 1, 1968, ALL REGULAR AND PERMANENT
PERSONNEL WHO ARE NOW EMPLOYED AT FRIENDSHIP
AIRPORT BY THE AIRPORT FIRE-FIGHTING FORCE AND
ALL FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES WHO ARE NOW EMPLOYED
AT THE AIRPORT AS POLICEMEN SHALL BE PERMITTED
TO REMAIN AS MEMBERS OF THE PENSION SYSTEM OF
BALTIMORE CITY TO WHICH THEY THEN BELONG. THE
STATE OF MARYLAND SHALL THEREAFTER REIMBURSE
THE CITY FOR ALL AMOUNTS WHICH THE CITY IS RE-
QUIRED TO CONTRIBUTE ON BEHALF OF SUCH PERSON-
NEL OR EMPLOYEES TO THE PENSION SYSTEM TO WHICH
THEY BELONG AS LONG AS THE PERSON REMAINS A
MEMBER THEREIN. ALL SUCH PERSONNEL OR EM-
PLOYEES WHO WERE SO EMPLOYED LESS THAN SIX
MONTHS OR MORE PRECEDING JULY 1, 1968 OR WHO BE-
COME SO EMPLOYED AFTER THIS DATE, AND ALL OTHER
FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUN-
CIL WHO FOR A PERIOD OF SIX MONTHS OR MORE IMME-
DIATELY PRECEDING JULY 1, 1968 HAVE BEEN REGULAR-
LY EMPLOYED, OR WHO BECOME SO EMPLOYED AFTER
THIS DATE, IN THE MANAGEMENT AND OPERATION OF
FRIENDSHIP AIRPORT, SHALL BE TRANSFERRED TO OR
BECOME MEMBERS OF THE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT
SYSTEM OF THE STATE OF MARYLAND. ALL SUCH PER-
SONS REQUIRED TO TRANSFER MEMBERSHIP AND CRED-
ITS BETWEEN THE CITY AND STATE SYSTEMS SHALL
COMPLY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE SUBTITLE OF
ARTICLE 73B ENTITLED "TRANSFERS BETWEEN RETIRE-
MENT SYSTEMS." THEREAFTER ALL SUCH PERSONS
SHALL BE SUBJECT GENERALLY TO THE PROVISIONS OF
SAID ARTICLE 73B.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 36 and 37 of Article 15A, Annotated
Code of Maryland (1967 Supplement), title "Budget and Procure-
ment," subtitle "State Aid for Police Protection Fund," and to
enact new Sections 36 and 37 in lieu thereof, to stand in the
place of the sections repealed respectively, and to add new Section
39 to said Article, title, and subtitle, to follow immediately after
