AMENDMENTS TO SENATE BILL NO. 38
AND/OR HOUSE BILL NO. 44

Amendment No. 1

On page 10 of the printed bill under the heading "Board of Public
Works" under "Health Insurance Program for State Employees" insert
the following footnote: "That it is the intention these funds shall be trans-
ferred by approved budget amendment to the budget of the State Treas-
urer."

Amendment No. 2

On page 18 of the printed bill under the heading "Management Audit"
and under the program "Examination and Auditing" and in the line en-
titled "General Fund Appropriation" strike out the numerals "175,495"
and insert in lieu thereof the numerals "40,000".

Amendment No. 3

In connection with and contingent upon enactment of Senate Bill 209
and/or House Bill 410, the appropriations shown on pages 21 and 22 of
the printed bill are amended as follows:

On page 21 of the printed bill under the heading "Department of
Maryland State Police" and under the program "Field Force Supervision
and Policing" and in the line entitled "General Fund Appropriation" strike
out the numerals "1,453,028" and insert in lieu thereof the numerals
"2,197,144" and in the line entitled "Special Fund Appropriation" strike
out the numerals "6,676,011" and insert in lieu thereof the numerals
"5,931,895".

On page 22 of the printed bill under the heading "Summary" and in
the line entitled "Total General Fund Appropriation" strike out the nu-
merals "2,232,347" and insert in lieu thereof the numerals "2,976,463" and
in the line entitled "Total Special Fund Appropriation" strike out the
numerals "11,092,154" and insert in lieu thereof the numerals "10,348,038".

Amendment No. 4

On page 42 of the printed bill under the heading "Department of
Mental Hygiene, Headquarters" and under the program "Community
Services—Local Programs" strike out the entire program 10.03.01.09 "Com-
munity Services—Local Programs" including the numerals "4,505,075".

On page 42 of the printed bill under "SUMMARY" and in the line
entitled "Total Special Fund Appropriation" strike out the numerals
"4,567,629" and insert in lieu thereof the numerals "62,554".

On page 42 of the printed bill and in the line entitled "Total Appro-
priation" strike out the numerals "7,425,423" and insert in lieu thereof the
numerals "2,920,348".

Amendment No. 5

On page 76 of the printed bill under the heading "Maryland Higher
Education Loan Corporation" and under the program "General Adminis-
tration" and in the line entitled "General Fund Appropriation" strike out
the numerals "1,365,002" and insert in lieu thereof the numerals "355,467".
