(House Bill 721)

AN ACT to add new Section 335 336A to Article 48A of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume), title "Insurance
Code," subtitle "Fraternal Benefit Societies," to follow immediately
after Section 335 336 thereof, to require fraternal benefit societies
seeking an initial certificate of authority after Juno JULY 1, 1968,
to have initial working capital of at least $125,000 and thereafter
maintain unencumbered assets of at least $100,000.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 335 336A be and it is hereby added to Article 48A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume), title
"Insurance Code," subtitle "Fraternal Benefit Societies," to follow
immediately after Section 335 336 thereof and to read as follows:
