several Girl Scouts' organizations from assessment and from State,
County and City taxation.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 9(49) of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1965 Replacement Volume), title "Revenue and Taxes," subtitle
"What Shall Be Taxed and Where," be and they are hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

9.

(49) Property, real and personal, owned by [Anne Arundel
County Girl Scout Council, Baltimore Area Girl Scout Council, Fred-
erick County Girl Scout Council, Girl Scout Council of Cumberland,
Maryland, Girl Scout Council of Southern Maryland, Girl Scouts of
the United States of America, Peninsula Girl Scout Council,
Washington County Girl Scout Council, Wilmington-Area Girl Scout
Council and the units or troops of Girl Scouts in the State of Mary-
land.] the Girl Scouts of the United States of America and its Coun-
cils, units and troops in the State of Maryland.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

CHAPTER 242
(House Bill 448)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 68(a)
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Renewal of Licenses," to re-
move from the procedure for application for renewal of license,
the requirement that said renewal application be accompanied by
a statement signed by the owner of the premises consenting to
renewal of the license and to search and seizure as in the case of
original application.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 68(a) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Renewal of
Licenses," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments to read as follows:

68.

(a) The holder or holders of any expiring license, other than
special licenses issued under the provisions of this article, shall, not
less than thirty (30) nor more than sixty (60) days before the first
day of May of each and every year, file a written application, duly ver-
ified by oath, for the renewal of such license with the official author-
ized to approve the same. Such renewal application shall state that
