the fee for filing a civil suit in the magistrate's court of Cecil
County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 20 (g) of Article 36 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1967 Supplement), title "Fees of Officers," subtitle "Justices of the
Peace," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
20.
(g) In Cecil County, notwithstanding any other provisions of
this section, a fee of [$8.00] $10.00 shall be paid upon the filing of
any civil suit in the magistrate's court, which said fee shall consti-
tute the entire costs in the proceedings for both the Sheriff and the
magistrate, provided that poundage fees as now allowed shall be
continued; and for each defendant named in any suit in excess of
two, an additional fee of $1.50 shall be added to the costs, and fur-
ther, in executing a warrant of restitution upon a landlord's com-
plaint, the plaintiff landlord shall be required to pay to the Sheriff
the costs of executing the same. The entire amount of such filing
fees shall be paid over monthly to the County Commissioners by the
magistrate or justice of the peace to whom said filing fees were paid.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 135(a)
and (b) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil County (1961
Edition, being Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Cecil County," subtitle "County Treasurer," to
increase the bonds of the Treasurer and Deputy Treasurer of Cecil
County that are executed to Cecil County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 135(a) and (b) of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Cecil County (1961 Edition, being Article 8 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland), title "Cecil County," subtitle "County
Treasurer," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
135.
(a) The legal and qualified voters of Cecil County shall at the
General State Election, to be held in the year 1954, and every four
years thereafter, elect some person, a resident of said county, to be
Treasurer of Cecil County, whose duty it shall be to collect and dis-
burse, upon the lawful orders of the County Commissioners of the
