As used in this subtitle "gainful occupation" does not include em-
ployment in farm work or in domestic service in a private home pro-
vided such farm work and domestic service is performed outside
school hours, nor in occasional employment by a householder in con-
nection with the household and not in connection with the house-
holder's business or occupation and when confined to casual domestic
tasks performed outside regular school hours and with the consent
of the parent or legal guardian, nor does it apply to the delivery of
newspapers by newspaper boys on regularly scheduled routes, ex-
cept as provided by Section 26 of this subtitle; nor does it apply to
tasks performed by volunteers in a hospital performed outside of
school hours and with the consent of the parents or legal guardian.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

CHAPTER 154
(Senate Bill 529)

AN ACT to add new Section 2A to Article 49A of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume), title "Invest-
ments," to follow immediately after Section 2 thereof, to make
any bonds issued upon the full faith and credit of Harford County
OR THE STATE OF MARYLAND sufficient collateral for the
deposit of any funds of Harford County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 2A be and it is hereby added to Article 49A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume), title
"Investments," to follow immediately after Section 2 thereof, and
to read as follows:

2A.

Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, the pledge of any
bonds or obligations issued upon the full faith and credit of Har-
ford County
OR ANY GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS OF THE
STATE OF MARYLAND shall be accepted as sufficient collateral
for the deposit of any funds of Harford County.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

AN ACT to add new Section 40A to Article 89B of the Annotated
