CHAPTER 150
(Senate Bill 431)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 226 (a)
of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Supple-
ment), title "Licenses," subtitle "Real Estate Brokers," amending
the laws concerning the Real Estate Commission in order to
remove therefrom certain provisions concerning the publication
of an annual directory of licensees and supplementary quarterly
directories.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 226 (a) of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1967 Supplement), title "Licenses," subtitle "Real Estate
Brokers," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
226.
(a) [The Commission shall publish annually in pamphlet form
the names and business addresses of all licensees under this subtitle
and furnish copies of said pamphlet to any person upon request. The
Commission shall also publish three supplementary quarterly direc-
tories of the names and addresses of all licensees whose names do
not appear in the annual or preceding quarterly directory.] A copy
of '[these directories together with a copy of] any rules or regula-
tions and code of ethics adopted by the Commission and any educa-
tional material approved by the Commission shall be mailed by the
Commission to all licensees and be made available to any other person
on request.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 60 (a)
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Supple-
ment), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Procedure for Issue
of Licenses," and to add new subsection (j) to Section 68 of
Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Supple-
ment), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Renewal of Licenses,"
providing that, in Baltimore City, no original or renewal license
for the sale of alcoholic beverages shall be issued unless and until
certain evidence is presented to the Clerk of the Court of Common
Pleas showing that certain State and local taxes have been paid.
