242.

No person granted a license under the provisions of this subtitle
shall install or repair electrical wires, conductors, or apparatus for
electric light, heat or power purposes after the expiration of said
licenses, or after said license has been revoked as herein provided,
unless the license or renewal has been renewed as herein provided.
Any person so granted a license under the provisions of this subtitle,
unless the license has been revoked as hereinafter provided, shall be

granted a renewal of the license without examination of the appli-

cant, provided an application is made to the Board by the holder of

the license and the license fee as set forth in a schedule of fees en-

acted by Ordinance of the Board of County Commissioners of Har-
ford County, is again paid. If the license shall be reciprocal between

other counties in this State and written approval is given by the

Board no fee will be required, and renewal of the license shall be for

a period of one (1) year. Any such renewal of license shall have

the same weight as evidence in any court of this State as herein-

before provided for the original license. One year renewals shall
be granted in like manner upon expiration of any renewal of license
upon making application and paying the fee.

244.

Each license and renewal of license shall be in force and effect only

so long as an approved general liability policy of insurance in the

amounts of $25,000 and $50,000 for personal injury, and $25,000 for
property damage and providing extended coverage shall be in force

as to place the Board on notice at the expiration or cancellation
thereof; and said license or any renewal thereof shall become utterly
void and of no effect should any such insurance for any reason what
-

soever become inoperative or ineffective, regardless of the regular

date of expiration of said certificate of renewal.

EVERY PERSON REQUIRED TO BE LICENSED HEREUN-
DER SHALL EXECUTE AND DELIVER TO THE BOARD
PRIOR TO THE ISSUANCE OF THE LICENSE A GOOD AND
SUFFICIENT BOND IN THE FORM APPROVED BY THE
BOARD, IN THE NAME OF THE STATE OF MARYLAND,
IN THE PENAL SUM OF FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5,000)
IN THE CASE OF A MASTER ELECTRICIAN AND ONE
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000) IN THE CASE OF A JOUR-
NEYMAN, OIL BURNER, SIGN OR MAINTENANCE ELEC-
TRICIAN. THE BOND SHALL BE CONDITIONED UPON THE
FAITHFUL PERFORMANCE OF ANY AND ALL WORK EN-
TERED UPON OR CONTRACTED FOR BY THE LICENSEE
AND SHALL RENDER HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFY THE
OWNER, OR REAL PARTY IN INTEREST IN THE PROP-
ERTY, FOR WHICH ANY SUCH MATERIAL IS FURNISHED
OR SERVICE PERFORMED AGAINST LOSS, DAMAGE OR
INJURY WHICH SHALL OCCUR BECAUSE OF LACK OF
SKILL, OR BECAUSE OF FAILURE TO USE SUITABLE OR
PROPER MATERIAL IN THE PERFORMANCE OF ANY
WORK CONTRACTED FOR OR UNDERTAKEN BY ANY
LICENSEE, OR HIS AGENTS AND EMPLOYEES.
