(House Bill 986)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 3 of
Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement
Volume and 1967 Supplement), title "Workmen's Compensation,"
subtitle "Workmen's Compensation Commission," increasing the
compensation of the chairman and of the other members of the
Workmen's Compensation Commission.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 3 of Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1964 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supplement), title "Workmen's
Compensation," subtitle "Workmen's Compensation Commission,"
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

The chairman of the Workmen's Compensation Commission of
Maryland shall receive a salary of [seventeen thousand five hundred
dollars ($17,500)] twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) per annum
and each of the other members shall receive a salary of [seventeen
thousand dollars ($17,000)] nineteen thousand five hundred dollars
($19,500) per annum.
In addition to the salary provided in this section each commis-
sioner shall be allowed his actual necessary traveling and incidental
expenses.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 257(a)
of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Replace-
ment Volume and 1967 Supplement), title "Crimes and Punish-
ments," subtitle "Crimes and Punishments," subheading "Gaming,"
repealing certain restrictions on wheels of fortune, AND raffles,
and bingo in Baltimore County.
