(1) The clerk shall mail a notice to each owner of a lot or parcel
of land within the conversion district advising him of the provisions
of subsection (k) and stating that unless such owner complies with
the requirements of such [section] subsection all buildings, struc-
tures and improvements located upon the lot or parcel will be subject
to disconnection from the electric or communication facilities provid-
ing service thereto. Such notice shall be mailed at least fifteen days
prior to the date of commencement of construction and shall be
mailed to the owners whose names and addresses appear on the last
assessment roll, used by the county or incorporated municipality or
as known to the clerk.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 22A (a)
of Article 89B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replace-
ment Volume and 1967 Supplement), title "State Roads," subtitle
"In General," amending the public highway laws in order to cor-
rect erroneous wording therein.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 22A (a) of Article 89B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1964 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supplement), title "State
Roads," subtitle "In General," be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
22A.
(a) The State Roads Commission, in addition to its other duties
and powers provided by law, and notwithstanding any provisions to
the contrary in [Article] Articles 73B, 77 and 88B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland or any other statute, is authorized to purchase real
property that it deems will be necessary for future improvement of
the State highway system by the following method:
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.
