COUNTY IN RATE AND AMOUNT SUFFICIENT TO PROVIDE
FOR THE PAYMENT, WHEN DUE, OF THE INTEREST AND
PRINCIPAL OF ALL SAID BONDS MATURING IN EACH SUCH
FISCAL YEAR AND IN THE EVENT THE PROCEEDS FROM
THE TAXES SO LEVIED IN ANY SUCH FISCAL YEAR SHALL
PROVE INADEQUATE FOR THE ABOVE PURPOSES, ADDI-
TIONAL TAXES SHALL BE LEVIED IN THE SUCCEEDING
FISCAL YEAR TO MAKE UP ANY SUCH DEFICIENCY.

Sec. 6. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1968.

(Senate Bill 617)

AN ACT to add new Section 338B to Article 43 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume), title "Health,"
subtitle "Plumbing," to follow immediately after Section 338A
thereof to exempt Anne Arundel County from certain provisions
of the law relating generally to plumbing.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 338B be and it is hereby added to Article 43 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume), title
"Health," subtitle "Plumbing," to follow immediately after Section
338A thereof, and to read as follows:

338B.

This subtitle, NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISION OF SEC-
TION 2 OF THIS ARTICLE CONCERNING THE RULES AND
REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE CHARACTER AND LOCA-
TION OF PLUMBING, WATER SUPPLY, PRIVATE SEWAGE
DISPOSAL SYSTEMS AND THE INSTALLATION, OPERATION
AND MAINTENANCE OF SUCH SYSTEMS, THE PROVISIONS
OF THIS SUBTITLE ON PLUMBING (with the exception of those
provisions relating to the examination and licensing of persons desir-
ing to work at the plumbing business by the State Board of Com-
missioners of Practical Plumbing), shall not apply to Anne Arundel

County after such time as the County Council of said county adopts

a plumbing code for Anne Arundel County. PROVIDED THAT
PRIOR TO OCTOBER 1, 1968, THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF SAID
COUNTY, AFTER A PUBLIC HEARING, ADOPTS FOR ITS
PLUMBING CODE THE SEVENTH DRAFT OF THE PROPOSED
REVISION OF THE STATE PLUMBING CODE DRAFTED BY
THE COMMITTEE ON REVISION OF THE MARYLAND STATE
PLUMBING CODE, WITH SUCH AMENDMENTS AS MAY BE
ADOPTED FROM TIME TO TIME.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.
