Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), or he may suspend the license of
such person, firm, association or corporation. or he may revoke such
license.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners of
Allegany County to borrow an amount not to exceed $1,000,000.00
and to issue bonds, promissory notes, or other certificates of
indebtedness therefor for the purpose of certain capital improve
ments for and on the premises of Memorial Hospital in the City
of Cumberland subject to certain procedures and conditions.
AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE AND EMPOWER THE COUNTY COM-
MISSIONERS OF ALLEGANY COUNTY TO CONTRIBUTE TO
THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF THE MEMORIAL HOS-
PITAL OF CUMBERLAND, A BODY POLITIC AND CORPO-
RATE OF THE STATE OF MARYLAND, THE SUM OF NOT
EXCEEDING ONE MILLION DOLLARS ($1,000,000.00) IN
ORDER TO HELP FINANCE THE CONSTRUCTION OF AL-
TERATIONS, IMPROVEMENTS AND ADDITIONS TO SAID
HOSPITAL; TO AUTHORIZE AND EMPOWER THE COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF ALLEGANY COUNTY TO PROVIDE
SAID CONTRIBUTION BY BORROWING UPON THE FULL
FAITH AND CREDIT OF SAID COUNTY, NOT EXCEEDING
THE SUM OF ONE MILLION DOLLARS ($1,000,000.00), AND
TO ISSUE COUPON BONDS THEREFOR FOR THE AFORE-
SAID PURPOSE; TO PROVIDE FOR AN ANNUAL LEVY
UPON THE ASSESSABLE PROPERTY OF ALLEGANY
COUNTY BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FOR THE
PURPOSE OF PAYING THE INTEREST OF SAID BONDS
AND THE PRINCIPAL THEREOF AT MATURITY.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the County Commissioners of Allegany County, a body cor-
porate, in order to provide funds for the purpose of certain capital
improvements for and on the premises of Memorial Hospital in the
City of Cumberland is hereby authorized and empowered to borrow
from time to time in such amounts as it shall deem necessary on the
faith and credit of the said County and to issue therefor its promis-
sory notes or other certificates of indebtedness or bonds provided
that in the aggregate said notes, certificates of indebtedness, or
bonds shall not exceed the sum of $1,000,000.00 and provided that
the said notes, certificates of indebtedness, or bonds shall bear a rate
of interest not exceeding five per centum per annum and provided
further that if the said money or any part thereof shall be borrowed
by the sale of bonds, the bond shall be designated, "Memorial Hos-
pital bonds of Allegany County—1968" and shall be of such denomi-
