MESSAGE TO THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES

By Senator Harry R. Hughes:

Ladies and Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your message, proposing the appointment of a joint
committee, two on the part of the Senate and two on the part of the
House to wait upon His Excellency, the Governor of Maryland and inform
him that the General Assembly will adjourn at 5:50 o'clock p.m., June 22,
1967, sine die, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution
and to inquire if he has any further communications to make to the
General Assembly.

We concur in your message and have appointed on the part of the
Senate, Senators Harry R. Hughes and Edward T. Hall.

MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE

June 22, 1967.

Mr. President and Members of the Senate:

You have my sincere appreciation for the splendid manner in which
you conducted the major business of today's special session. You per-
formed your work expeditiously in removing the legal obstacle to ap-
propriations which are of vital importance to every subdivision of the
State. I commend you and wish each of you a pleasant summer.
