The Honorable Frederick C. Malkus, seconded by the Honorable Harry
R. Hughes nominated the Honorable William S. James for President.

On motion of Honorable Harry R. Hughes, seconded by the Honor-
able James A. Pine the nominations were closed.

The roll was then called, which resulted in the following:

Anderson, Bailey, Bertier, Bertorelli, Bishop, Brubaker, Byron, Clark, Connolly,
Conroy, Curran, Dean, Dorf, Emanuel, Finney, Friedler, Gore, Hall, Hart, Hodges,

The Honorable William S. James was unanimously elected President
of the Senate.

The Senators from Caroline and Calvert Counties, were appointed to
