MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS

25-1. Oaths.

(a)    All oaths required by this Article to be in writing shall have
a certificate of the officer making the same attached and signed by
him, and the board members, officers of registration and judges of
election are hereby empowered to administer all oaths and affirma-
tions required in the discharge of the duties of the respective offices
and no charge shall be made for any oath or affirmation given in a
polling place, place of registration, or the offices of the boards.

(b)    The fact that a registration official has qualified a voter and
signed the registration record to that effect, shall be sufficient pre-
sumption that the answers so recorded were made under oath to such
registrar as required by this section.

25-2. Publication of election laws.

The text of this Article, with said forms and instructions so pre-
pared, and with other provisions of the Constitution and laws touch-
ing the same matters, and with a proper index thereto, shall be pub-
lished by the Secretary of State and shall be distributed by him to
the boards in quantities sufficient to supply all the judges and other
officers requiring the same. The expense of printing and of necessary
clerical assistance shall be paid from the treasury of the State. A
price shall be fixed by the Secretary of State at which copies may be
furnished to purchasers.

25-3. Instructions of Attorney General.

It shall be the duty of the Attorney General to prepare instructions
and blank forms necessary for the officers of registration and of elec-
tion created by this article.

CORRUPT PRACTICES FAIR ELECTION PRACTICES

26-1. Elections to which applicable.

The provisions of this subtitle shall apply to all elections of all
officers for whom ballots shall be cast pursuant to the provisions of
this Article, and to the election of all officers by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, and to all candidates to be voted for at any such
elections, and the term "elections" shall include (a) primary elec-
tions held to nominate a candidate for any public office, or to elect
delegates to a nominating convention and (b) nominating conven-
tions of such delegates.

26-2. Appointment of treasurer, subtreasurer or political agent;
subtreasurer's report; candidate joining ticket or slate.

(a) Each candidate for nomination for, or election to, public
office, upon filing as such candidate or within seven (7) days there-
after shall appoint one campaign treasurer and shall file the name
and address of the campaign treasurer with the clerk of the circuit
court of the county or Baltimore City in which the candidate resides
or, if he is a candidate for State-wide office or representative in
Congress, with the Secretary of State.
